Certification Program
The medical deep tissue certification program is a post
graduate 100+hr medical massage program. The program utilizes
the latest research and development in manual therapy, structural
dysfunction, and human biomechanics in combination with Dr. Macies' mdt techniques. The program is divided into
4 units
of hands-on study, clinical externship, and direct mentorship/coaching
to ensure the therapists success. Each mdt weekend explores
the clinical assessment and treatment of various regions of
structural dysfunction. The mdt program includes areas such
as structural sciences, biomechanics, biochemistry, neurophysiology,
patient psychology, clinical assessment, clinical applications
and marketing/networking, mdt Qi-Gong, Structural
metaphoring. As therapists work through the intensive
curriculum they are mentored by Dr. James Macie through
regular mentor sessions. therapist. This opportunity will assist in
the further development as well as review/evaluate their clinical
practices in between the weekend trainings. The mdt certification
program allows the flexibility for therapists across the nation
to come together and earn at their own speed while providing
a course structure that ensures their success.

Certification Requirements
Clinical
Applications and Technique
(60hrs)
mdt-1:
Structural Sciences, mdt mdt assessment and clinical
applications of the shoulder, and mdt marketing.
mdt-2:
Structural Sciences, mdt assessment and clinical
applications of the neck, jaw, and upper extremity, and
structural/emotional metaphoring.
mdt-3:
Structural Sciences, mdt assessment and clinical
applications of the pelvis and lower extremity, and advanced
marketing strategies.
mdt-4:
Advanced Clinical Sciences, mdt assessment and clinical
assessment of the Spine, and Torso, mdt Qi-gong energy
techniques.
Clinical Practicum/Externship
(40hrs)
All therapist's are required to submit documented
SOAP/Narratives before their certification/exam. A mdt mentor/coach
and the therapist must review these patient notes in order
to build upon and strengthen the therapists clinical skills
as well as sit for the mdt certification exam.

the latest research and development.
