Bio: Dr. James Macie has been working in the health field for over a decade. He is the developer of Medical Deep Tissue, the Structural Release Technique, and a line of professional nutritonal supplements designed for musculoskeletal dysfunction. He was a personal trainer, nutritional consultant/lecturer in the early '90's, and then became a licensed massage therapist. Dr. Macie then went on to complete his Doctorate in Chiropractic, and began to specialize and develop advanced automatic flexion distraction techniques as well as various medical deep tissue techniques. He has instructed at various massage schools throughout New York, and is a NCBTMB national provider of educational courses for the manual therapist. Currently he serves as the NY AMTA educational chairperson, member of the International MYOPAIN Society, and practices in Albany, NY at his Structural Release Center. His center has gained national recognition for its ability to treat musculoskeletal dysfunctions, and also operates as a medical deep tissue training facility for massage therapists.
