Apprenticeship/Internship

Dr. James Macie maintains an internship program in which he chooses select therapists (3-4) to learn directly under his mentorship. Therapists work in a small group once per week and some weekends to learn the mdt curriculum so as to assist with the mdt weekend seminars. This one on one training is a valuable experience for the therapist that is looking at focusing their career in the field of medical massage. Upon completing the first 60 days of internship, Dr. Macie then performs a full evaluation and may ask each therapist to continue with their studies for another term and enter the teacher trainer modules of mdt.

Those therapists interested in mdt internship must apply with Dr. Macie by emailing him directly. He will then contact you regarding the application and interview process. This program is designed for the massage therapists who has a passion and dedication for medical massage, and feels he/she would like to further their knowledge in the human body and receive medical massage training directly from one of the leaders in this field.
